BYD SHARK 6: where the cabin 12 V socket is and what it can power

Featured Replies

The front 12 V accessory outlet is inside the centre console storage compartment, under a cover. If a charger or dashcam won’t power up there with the ignition off, that matches the operation described in this manual.

Check the accessory’s input rating before connecting it. BYD specifies less than 10 A and less than 120 W for this supply. These figures apply to the cabin 12 V socket.

The manual advises against extended use while the engine is off because it can drain the low-voltage battery. Close the socket cover after unplugging the accessory and keep liquids away from it.
