    SEAL 7 DM-i driver-door controls with separate child-lock buttons for each rear door. Illustration from the BYD owner’s manual, printed p. 61 (PDF p. 61). The driver’s door has separate child-lock buttons for the left and right rear doors in this edition. The corresponding light shows which side is active. With that side enabled, the rear door’s inside handle and its local window switch are disabled. Press the same button again to release that side. The manual also describes opening the door from outside. Check the indicator and test the affected door while parked before setting off with passengers. BYDbase editorial guide.
