BYD SEALION 7: how to set the power tailgate opening height

Featured Replies

If you park beneath a low garage door, set a lower opening height for the power tailgate in a place with plenty of clearance first.

With the vehicle parked, open the tailgate to the height you want and keep it at that position. Hold the button on the inside of the tailgate for more than three seconds. The manual says a short tone confirms that the position has been stored. It also lists a height setting under Vehicle → Locks on the touchscreen.

Close the tailgate and reopen it in a clear area to check the saved height before trying the garage. Keep people and fingers away from the moving lid. The manual explains that the anti-pinch feature can miss some objects, especially near the fully closed position.
