    BYD SEAL EV emergency charge-port release shown at the right-hand boot trim. For a lock fault, follow the instructions in the manual. Illustration from the BYD owner’s manual, printed p. 93 (PDF p. 93). If you unlock your SEAL and the charging plug is still held when you get back to it, the release window may have expired. The manual says the port lock can re-engage 30 seconds after it releases the connector. Check Energy → Charge/Discharge → Charging port anti-theft lock on the touchscreen. With the lock enabled and the vehicle secured, the connector is held in place. End the session as required by the charger, unlock the vehicle and remove the connector within the relea…
